Welcome

Kate’s Piano Studio is closing June 30, 2017.

It is with great sadness that I announce the closing of Kate’s Piano Studio at the end of June 2017. It has been a very hard decision to make, but I have been accepted to University of Lethbridge’s M.Ed. (Counselling Psychology) program, and I have slowly accepted that maintaining my studio would interfere with my ability to succeed academically.

I appreciate the opportunity I’ve had to work with each of my students and will miss them all dearly! I’ve been very invested in the progress of all of my students, and it’s sad to think that I won’t be a part of that anymore. Additionally, I’ve enjoyed developing special relationships with each individual, and I think that’s the part I will miss the most.

I hope that all of my students will continue lessons with another teacher, and I am happy to recommend a number of teachers who will be taking on students. I strongly recommend scheduling a meeting between a prospective teacher and parent/student before making a commitment. Be sure to ask for a copy of their studio policies so you are aware of fees, cancellation policies, and other requirements. Each piano studio is different! Remember, the best piano teacher is not necessarily the cheapest one or the one nearest your house.

You can look for other Registered Music Teachers at the LRMTA website or for other well-educated piano teachers at Casa.
